Amidst Violent Protest Mamata Banerjee Urge People to Maintain Peace

On Saturday West Bengal CM urged people to maintain peace and warned that strict action will be taken against people found indulging in violence.
She appealed for calm as several places across the state saw violent agitations and vandalism by people protesting against the CAA.
In an official statement, she said, "Do not take up law in your hand. Do not put up road blockades and create trouble for the common people on the roads."
The statement further said, "Do not cause damage to government properties."
"Strict action would be taken against those who are found guilty in creating disturbances," the statement quoted her as saying.
