‘Ready to Vote’ campaign planned in Srikakulam on January 25

National Voters Day on January 25 is going to be celebrated in an innovative manner in Srikakulam district, which has set many records with the formation of massive Ashok Chakra on January 25, 2017, to create awareness among people over the importance of vote in democracy.
The district administration has planned ‘Ready to Vote’ campaign with 8,500 students. All the youngsters stand in the form‘Ready to Vote’ at the designated place to catch the attention of everyone. Joint Collector K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu has been holding meetings with many organisations to make it a grand success on the lines of Ashok Chakra which was hailed by the Election Commission of India also. “Many youngsters got the voting right this time. All of them should be part of the electoral process. The innovative presentation of ‘Ready to Vote’ will motivate everyone and ensure 100% voting,” he added.
Gurudeva Charitable Trust founder Raparthi Jagadish Babu and Indian Red Cross Society-Srikakulam Chairman P. Jaganmohana Rao said that as 150 physically challenged persons would also participate in the awareness programme.
