Naidu sees swing in favour of DMK

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday called upon the people of Tamil Nadu to vote for the DMK in the Lok Sabha election, saying that it would be a turning point for national politics.
At a public meeting organised in connection with the unveiling of late DMK leader M. Karunanidhi’s statue, he said opposition parties were working together because of the democratic compulsion to save the nation.
He said the country needed the support of Tamil Nadu as the State had always been an inspiration and since there was awareness among the people.
“People of Tamil Nadu will do their best. That is why I am confident that Mr. Stalin is going to win all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu (and Puducherry) along with the Congress,” he said, evoking applause from Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Stalin.
