The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) on Friday wrangled over the circumstances that prompted Venugopalan Nair, 50, to take his own life in front of the Secretariat here early Thursday.
The BJP had claimed that Nair was an Ayyappa devotee and he had committed self-immolation in protest against the government’s disregard for Sabarimala traditions.
