Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai on Wednesday said that the delegation of powers to the cabinet ministers vis-à-vis allotment of additional portfolios should be done immediately so as to help the functioning of the state administration to be more effective.
Speaking to media at the Secretariat, the Goa Forward Party chief said that if a decision regarding allotment of the additional portfolios to the ministers is to be taken, then it should be done immediately, as the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha election will be in force after two months.
“Coalition partners have always tried to see that the stability of the Parrikar-led government is continued. It is obvious to see an effect on the functioning of the administration, as the leader of the government is not keeping well,” he said, claiming that though the Chief Minister is unwell, he is proactive.
