Ponda’s ‘Hanuman Tirth’ lake will be restored, beautified: Palyekar

Almost after a year of inspecting the spring with small lake known as ‘Hanuman Tirth’ lake at Warkhande, Ponda, WRD Minister Vinod Palyekar, on Friday, disclosed about the plan for the restoration and beatification of the lake. Palyekar informed that ‘Hanuman Tirth’ lake will be restored and beautified by spending around Rs 40 lakh.

“WRD has prepared a restoration and beautification plan for the ‘Hanuman Tirth’ lake, which would cost around Rs 40 lakh, and the work on the same will start within two months’ time,” said the Minister while briefing the media in Ponda, following his visit to the lake.

Along with him Ponda Municipal Council chairperson Pradeep Naik, Goa Forward Party’s Ponda leader Rajesh Verenkar, vice presidents Akbar Mulla and Durgadas Kamat, PMC councilors, panchayat members of Curti Khandepar and WRD officials were present.
