The BJP has passed a resolution at the ‘Rayalaseema Praja Avedana Dharna’ here asking the State and Central governments to set up the High Court in the Rayalaseema region and not a Bench as is being said by a few political parties.
Addressing a gathering of party functionaries and farmers from the four Rayalaseema districts here on Saturday, BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana took exception to the successive Chief Ministers doing injustice to the region despite hailing from the place. In the second of the series of such dharnas planned across the State, Mr. Lakshminarayana said the TDP did not give water for irrigation neither from the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi nor from the HLC system to the 35 lakh acres of groundnut crop, which, as a result, withered.
