TRS diverting Central funds says BJP

BJP State president K. Laxman has alleged that the TRS government had misused and diverted the Central government funds sanctioned for the implementation of various welfare and developmental programmes. Mr Laxman was in Karimnagar town on Monday along with MP Bandaru Dattatreya and senior leaders of the party to review arrangements for the BJP national president Amit Shah’s Samarabheri public meeting scheduled to be held on October 10, at Ambedkar stadium in the town.

Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he charged that the State government had failed to implement the Central government’s Ayushman Bharath. The health insurance scheme was meant for the benefit of the people and provided corporate hospital treatment worth Rs. 5 lakh, when the Arogyasri health insurance of the State government covered medical benefit of only Rs. 2 lakh, he stated. He also alleged that the SC sub-plan funds were diverted and utilised for the beautification of Hussainsagar project by the State government. He said the TRS government was scared of the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the former had renamed several Union government schemes as State government schemes.
