‘CM’s revolt call is a threat to democracy’

Condemning the provocative statement of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy asking people to revolt against the BJP, the party’s district unit staged a protest in Kalaburagi on Friday demanding that the police book Mr. Kumaraswamy for sedition.
BJP State vice-president Baburao Chavan, MLC B.G. Patil, MLA Basavaraj Mattimod and Kalaburagi Zilla Panchayat president Suvarna H. Malaji, along with the party workers, gathered at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Chowk and strongly condemned Mr. Kumaraswamy’s provocative statement against the BJP leaders during a public speech at Chennarayapatna taluk in Hassan district. Mr. Chavan said that exhorting the people of the State for a revolt against the BJP and its State unit president B.S. Yeddyurappa and party leaders was a threat to democracy.
