Defiant BJP MLA Ram Kadam falls in line after Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's rebuke

Ghatkopar MLA’s half-hearted apology did not go down well with his boss, who called him up to give him a stern warning, forced him to apologise again. While he did not make any comment on the issue in public, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called up errant MLA Ram Kadam and asked him to tender an unconditional apology after his comment on kidnapping women for spurned suitors drew outrage from all. Kadam’s halfhearted apology on Wednesday only added fuel to the fire with calls for his sacking gaining ground.
Fadnavis, who has also been criticised for his silence on the issue, then stepped in and asked Kadam to tender an unconditional and unequivocal apology. Following the rebuke, Kadam Tweeted on Thursday morning, “Mothers and sisters have been hurt after my political rivals distorted and twisted my comments. I have expressed regret about my comments repeatedly. Once again, with due respect to all my sisters and mothers, I am apologising.”
