A team of officials from the Union Government will arrive here on August 7 to visit flood-affected areas in the state and assess the extent of damage.
The seven-member team headed by A.V. Dharma Reddy, Joint secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs is scheduled to tour flood-hit areas from August 8 and interact with Ministers and officials from the State government and the district administration. Government sources said the itinerary was being finalised in consultation with the Ministry.
The Central team is slated to hold discussions with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Revenue Minister E. Chandrasekharan here on August 9.
