The 12-day monsoon session of the state legislative assembly will commence on July 19 to deliberate on and pass the budget related demands. The legislature department has received altogether 1,868 questions from the MLAs, including 734 starred questions and 1,134 unstarred questions, for the question hour. Furthermore, 15 private members resolutions will come for discussion in the House. The monsoon session will also witness tabling of around 10 bills in the House, including amendments to the Goa Lokayukta Act as well as the Town and Country Planning Act, besides bills on higher education, health, environment and Mopa airport.
