Meghalaya: East Shillong MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh likely to contest ADC polls next year

In an interesting turn of political events, Congress legislator from East Shillong, Ampareen Lyngdoh is most likely to contest next year’s Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) elections.
‘It is true that I am contemplating to contest next year’s district council elections,” Ampareen said while talking to a group of media persons here today.
She, however, said that if the law permits she will definitely contest the elections. “We have seen that KHADC CEMPN Syiem never resigned from the post of the MLA. Therefore, the issue of office of profit does not arise,” the Congress legislator from East Shillong said.
