AAP MLA from Punjab Amarjeet Singh was hospitalized after he was assaulted by the mining mafia. His bodyguard was also injured. Members of the mining mafia assaulted him as he was on a local visit to the area where illegal mining was happening. Armed policemen watched the assault without doing anything.
