Kumaraswamy holds first public interaction

Govinde Gowda, 76, waited patiently for his turn to meet the newly sworn in Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Tuesday. His request to the CM was allotment of a residential site in Kunigal where he hails from.
“I have met five Chief Ministers before with similar memoranda. But nothing has happened. Hopefully, my plea will be met,” he said. Mr. Govinde Gowda was among 100 plus people who had lined up at Krishna, the CM’s office here, to meet Mr. Kumaraswamy who was scheduled to interact with the public. Bijapur resident Mallikarjun, a farmer, sought an increase in senior citizen pension and reduction in travel fare for senior citizens.
Wednesday’s public interaction with the CM also saw many bringing in demands that ranged from employment to financial assistance for health needs. A couple of physically-challenged persons also met Mr. Kumaraswamy.
