Formation of the government by the Janata Dal (S)-Congress combine in Karnataka on Wednesday is “unethical”, “a blow to democracy” and once again points to the Grand Old Party’s effort to abuse people’s verdict through “trickery”, said senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Sunday. “People of Karnataka have given a decisive mandate against the Congress by giving the highest number of seats to us. Surely, it is no verdict in favour of JD-S. There is nothing wrong in Yeddyurappa staking claim to form the government, but what is happening is an unholy post-poll alliance coming to power through back door. We don’t have the culture of running camps or resorts,” he said at a press conference.
