‘BJP wants to run Karnataka from Nagpur’

AICC president Rahul Gandhi on Friday said the BJP does not want the people of Karnataka to have a government of their own but wants to run the Karnataka government from Nagpur.
Addressing a large gathering here on Friday, Mr. Rahul said the BJP wants to rule Karnataka not on the basis of the aspirations of the people of the State but on what RSS functionaries in Nagpur think.
He began his speech by referring to a vachana of Basaveshwara and said the people of Karnataka were the one who acted according to their words unlike Prime Minister Narendra Modi whose words and actions do not match.
“There are two main issues now. On one side there are the RSS and the BJP which want monoculture and spread hatred, and on other there is the ideology of great Basavanna of taking everyone along which is being followed in Karnataka,” he said.
