Amitabh Thakur is an Jabriya Retired (IPS) officer and a political activist. He was given compulsory retirement in March 2023. He was working as IG at that time. During service Amitabh was known for his strict adherence to rules and regulations as also for his work in the field of administrative accountability. he always raised his voice against injustice. his wife nutan thakur is also a rti activist and advocate in Lucknow. recently ex ips amitabh thakur is also formed his own party named as Adhikar Sena Party. His Party will also contest in upcoming loksabha election 2024.
