- The Sena leaders poured black ink on the leader and later forced him to wear a saree.
- Saree which is a symbol of womanhood and women's honour, Sena workers used it as a symbol of public shame and humiliation.
- When he denied wearing a saree, the workers forcefully made him wear that saree and parade him after blackening him from top to bottom.
- This came after the BJP leader criticized Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
