Indian govt asks Twitter to remove 1,178 handles having Khalistani users
The Indian govt has asked Twitter to remove more than a thousand accounts from its platform for spreading misinformation.
Govt alleged that these accounts are spreading provocative content around farmers' protests.
It claimed that over 1,178 handles have Pakistani and Khalistani users. The officials said that the microblogging platform is yet to comply with the order.
Letting you know, this move came after Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg had last week tweeted a "toolkit" which she later deleted.
Police claimed that Greta's action aimed at spreading disaffection sought to create disharmony among various social, religious, and cultural groups.
