Discussion on Statutory Resolution and Legislative Business The New Delhi International Arbitration Centre Bill, 2019 and The Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2019. The Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2019 amends the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The bill seeks to amend section 11 of the Act relating to "Appointment of Arbitrators" so as to change the present system of appointment of arbitrators by the Supreme Court or High Court, to a system where the arbitrators shall be appointed by the "arbitral institutions" designated by the Supreme Court or High Court The New Delhi International Arbitration Centre Bill, 2019 will provide for the establishment and incorporation of the New Delhi International Arbitration Centre for the purpose of creating an independent and autonomous regime for institutionalised arbitration and for acquisition and transfer of the undertakings of the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution
