Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has 50 cases pending against him in Lokayukta

As many as 50 cases are still pending in the Lokayukta against former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and no action has yet been initiated.
The details were revealed after an RTI was filed with the Lokayukta by one Wing Commander (retd) GB Athri. He found that there are 50 cases pending with the Lokayukta till date.
The RTI reply says that 50 of these are still pending with the Lokayukta from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2018. No complaint was received against Siddaramaiah between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014. Athri has now demanded that the nature of the complaints be disclosed to the people of Karnataka.
In 2016, the then Chief Minister Siddaramaiah turned the Lokayutka into a paper tiger. He introduced the Anti-Corruption Bureau which meant the Lokayukta could not book cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act on its own or conduct raids. Moreover, the ACB was under the chief minister's office.
