The Congress on Sunday accused Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of ‘fooling’ Mumbaikars and shielding higher ranked officials from repercussions following the deaths of citizens due to negligence of the State government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Mumbai Congress president Sanjay Nirupam said, “In every incident, all that the Chief Minister has done is an eyewash for Mumbaikars. In each of the cases, it’s the smaller officers who have been made the scapegoats, while the bigger officials who are involved have gotten away scot-free.”
