Kaypee for building government college in constituency

For Mohinder Singh Kaypee (59), Congress candidate from the Adampur constituency, contesting election is like a family affair, as it is 17th time that the Kaypee family has been in the poll fray.
Former Congress minister, Kaypee has contested two parliamentary and five Assembly elections.
He has been reaching out to the voters with the promise to construct a government college in the constituency as students have to either go to Jalandhar or Hoshiarpur for college education.
Speaking to Jalandhar Tribune, Kaypee said Punjab was going through a very crucial period of time. Punjabis have got sick of the SAD-BJP alliance and were looking for an alternative to provide them better governance, he claimed.
“People have been suffering badly due to the drug menace. Punjab is due to pay a debt of Rs 1.35 lakh crore. The economic condition of Punjab is at an all-time low. We will waive the farming loan as well as the loan of the SC and BC communities. We have plans to provide employment to the younger generation of Punjab. We will enhance the old-age and widow pension. We will also make the overall development of Punjab that has not been done by the previous government,” he added.
