Mamata does not need Congress to fight Modi-Shah in 2019: Chandan Mitra

ore bad news is in store for Congress. Party president Rahul Gandhi has been canvassing for putting up a united fight against the BJP-led NDA in 2019 Lok Sabha election. But its support base seems to be slipping with every passing day. After BSP chief Mayawati, TMC boss Mamata Banerjee too may not align with the Congress to fight the BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha election.
Participating in a panel discussion on the second day of India Today Conclave East 2018, TMC leader Chandan Mitra dismissed the idea that there could be an alliance with the Congress in West Bengal for 2019 Lok Sabha election.
