Paravur, Kunnathunadu and Aluva taluks in the district have seen enormous losses for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) during the recent floods. According to figures being compiled by the District Industries Centre (DIC) here, the total losses so far is estimated at ₹353 crore.
A total of 825 enterprises have been hit by the floods that submerged industrial unit premises, resulting in loss of raw materials as well as finished products and damage to machinery and equipment.
