Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has requested the Centre to release of funds to Telangana under Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) and Command Area Development & Water Management (CADWM) for six ongoing irrigation projects and seven proposed national highways.
He along with MPs B. Vinod Kumar and K. Prabhakar Reddy and MLA Chinta Prabhakar called on Union Minister for Water Resources, Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Monday and thanked him for giving all clearance to Kaleshwaram project. He also submitted separate letters seeking the release of funds for ongoing irrigation projects – Bheema, Kumram Bheem, Neelwai, Ralivagu, Mathadivagu and Gollavagu.
