Maharashtra: Lack of oxygen beds in hospitals, oxygen cylinders now being installed in homes

  • Many districts of Maharashtra are facing a shortage of beds equipped with Maharashtra facility (Corona Oxygen Cylinder), due to which patients are facing problems.
  • Due to the lack of oxygen beds in many areas, oxygen cylinders are being installed at the homes of Corona patients.
  • Frontline workers are also not getting enough help. Police constable Chetan Barde was found to be corona infected on 24 April.
  • The administration admitted him to the hospital and also helped him with Rs 2 lakh for treatment. But despite this, his treatment could not be completed.
  • For his treatment, he also took a loan of 1 lakh rupees. However, after not recovering, treatment is now being continued at home with the help of some institutes.
