'We once made a world record of polio vaccination, but Modi govt failed to provide corona vaccine'- Lalu Yadav

Lalu Prasad Yadav, the National President of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has targeted the Central Govt over the Corona Vaccination Drive in the country.
Lalu said that even today, the govt is not able to provide corona vaccine even after taking money.
He said, "In 1996-97, when there was the Janata Dal govt in the country of socialists, of which I was the national president, then we set a world record of polio vaccination."
He said, "At that time there was no such facility and awareness, yet on 7th December 1996 11, 74 crore infants and on 18 January 1997 12.73 crore infants were given Polio Vaccine."
"That was India's world record. People had misconceptions about the vaccine at that time, but the Janata Dal-led United Front-led Socialist Govt had determined", Lalu added.
