Mumbai hospitals to use 4-star, 5-star hotels to treat patients with mild COVID 19 symptoms
- The coronavirus situation in India is already deteriorating. Currently, Maharashtra is witnessing the highest number of cases.
- According to the administration, due to the unavailability of beds, Mumbai hospitals will now use five-star hotels to treat COVID-19 patients with milder infections.
- The private hospitals will tie up with 4-star or 5-star hotels to serve more patients. Those who don't need critical care will be shifted from private hospitals to hotels.
- This order came as Mumbai and Maharashtra face a maximum number of COVID 19 cases in the country.
- The public health department sent a notice which read, "Many beds in private hospitals are occupied by patients who do not require emergency medical intervention, such patients can be managed at isolation facilities."
