
UP farmers stopped and beaten up by the Haryana police at Bidholi border
- The Modi government at the Center passed the new agricultural law last year and described it as useful for farmers, but in the middle of it there were many flaws.
- The government talks of one country-one market, but when the farmers of UP come to Haryana to sell wheat, they are forcefully stopped and beaten at the border.
- On Tuesday, the farmers were stopped at the Bidholi border, after which there was a lot of uproar. The Haryana police also beat up the farmers.
- When the Indian Farmers Union Block President Arvind Singh reached the spot, the police said that Haryana has banned the purchase of wheat in UP, so will not allow it to be taken.
- The leaders of BKU said that when the government has given an exemption to sell the crop, then why is it being stopped in the other state itself.
