TMC writes to Election Commission, asks to cancel Suvendu Adhikari's nomination from Nandigram
Trinamool Congress in West Bengal has today urged the Election Commission to cancel Suvendu Adhikari's nomination from Nandigram.
The party alleged that Suvendu had given false detail of his residence. It also said that the nomination papers to contest the Bengal polls from Nandigram were illegal.
TMC said that that the BJP leader has a voter ID card in Haldia too and has not resided in Nandigram over the past 6 months.
Letting you know, after joining the BJP in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari has now challenged Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram for the upcoming assembly elections.
West Bengal elections are going to be held in the eight stages. The first phase will start on March 27 and the last phase will be voted on April 29.
