West Bengal Assembly Elections: Aishe Ghosh, JNU student leader, becomes first to contest
West Bengal elections are going to be held in the eight stages. The first phase will start on March 27 and the last phase will be voted on April 29.
In a new development, JNU students' union chief, Aishe Ghosh will contest the assembly election in the state as a CPI(M) candidate.
Aishe Ghosh is the first sitting president of JNU's students' union to contest in an assembly election.
In the morning she tweeted, "Will be contesting from Jamuria Legislative Assembly Seat as a candidate of the CPI(M), supported by the Sanyukt Morcha. Requesting all of your support."
