Journalist Mandeep Punia granted bail, says Police charged him in false case
Delhi Police had arrested freelance journalist Mandeep Punia for allegedly misbehaving with police personnel and blocking a public servant at the Singhu border.
After Punia was sent to jail for 14 days, many people came in his support. Journalists staged protests against his arrest near Delhi police headquarters.
In the recent development, it is clear that Journalist Mandeep Punia has been granted bail.
The Court has granted this bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. Now he can be released by this evening or tomorrow.
Punia, in his bail plea, said that he has to take care of his elderly mother. The police have charged him in a false case so that other accused can be saved.
