Coronavirus: 1 Man Arrested, a Dozen Booked for Violating Lockdown Orders

Noida police arrested a man and booked around a dozen people gathering for a group namaaz and violating lockdown restrictions imposed due to coronavirus.
The FIR was lodged under the provision of the National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the UP Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.
These men were arrested after a video surfaced online showing these men gathering on the terrace of a house for the prayer.
Police registered an FIR against them under IPC sections 188, 269 and 270 at the Sector 20 police station.
Police said that despite all the measures these men violated the orders. By their defiance and ignorance, their actions could lead to the spread of coronavirus.
