Emergency measures by GoI appreciable, need more concrete steps : Altaf Bukhari
- Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari appreciated the emergency measures announced by the RBI in wake of Coronavirus pandemic.
- Bukhari stated that the measures taken by the central may have provided a relief but these financial relaxations have offered no relief to the struggling businesses that are non-functioning for the last one year in J&K.
- "There is a dire need for an economic package and all borrowers must be covered in loan restructuring so that their accounts are not declared as NPAs", JKAP president said.
- He said the already announced moratorium period is a first step for easing out the burden from traders and business community.
- JKAP president further said that the union finance ministry must put in all efforts to provide interest subvention to important sectors like tourism, horticulture, agriculture, and MSME manufacturing.
