West Bengal Passes a Resolution Against CAA

  • West Bengal has become the fourth state to pass a resolution against CAA after Punjab, Rajasthan, and Kerala.
  • The resolution was moved by Bengal Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee at a special session of the House.
  • "We were the first Assembly to discuss the matter in September 2019. We passed a resolution against the NRC", said Mamata Banerjee in the assembly. 
  • Mamata Banerjee said that the state cannot support those who aim to divide India.
  • Let us tell you, the resolution was supported by Left and the Congress members.
