Sugata Bose Unhappy With the Chief Guest Choice

All India Trinamool Congress leader, Sugata Bose slammed Narendra Modi for inviting Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro as chief guest on Republic Day.
He said, “Unless it is our objective to show that India is simply a part of the global rise of right-wing authoritarianism.”
“I can understand that we have economic interests to protect with Brazil. But that can easily be done through bilateral meetings", he further added.
"On the occasion of Republic Day, we ought to have done better, Bose said during a session at the Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet.
