Shiv Sena Drops Prithviraj's Claim 

  • The Shiv Sena has dismissed the claim made by Prithviraj Chavan that in 2014, it had proposed to form govt with Congress and NCP.
     
  • The party targetted the BJP and said that 2014 assembly polls had revealed the “true face” of its former ally.
     
  • Earlier, Chavan had said that after the 2014 Maharashtra polls, Shiv Sena and NCP had approached him to form a coalition govt to stop the BJP which Congress rejected.
     
  • “The Congress faced a drubbing in the 2014 election under the leadership of Prithviraj Chavan", said Saamana.
     
  • Let us tell you, in 2014,  BJP got 122 seats, the Shiv Sena bagged 63, while the Congress and NCP 42 and 41 seats.
