CAA is a subject of the Central list as specified in the Constitution: Kerala Guv
Kerala Governor accused CM Pinarayi Vijayan of violating the Constitution by not approaching him before going to the Supreme Court against the CAA.
Amid a heated war of words with the chief minister, the governor said Vijayan had no right to spend state funds on the petition.
The Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, said that the CM Vijayan was “duty-bound” to approach him on such decisions.
He added that his duty is to ensure that the constitutional machinery does not collapse in the state. The CAA is a subject of the Central list, he said.
Khan has been taking a tough stance over the manner in which the Vijayan govt has responded to the CAA. "Some people here, think they are above law," he said.
