Don’t treat Kapus as avote bank: Mudragada

Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has written a letter to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy warning him against treating Kapus as people who would vote for him and continue submissively as “slaves” without expecting anything in return. He warned the Chief Minister against thinking that the Kapus voted for him for the ₹2,000 crore he had allocated for them.
He asked Mr. Jagan to make public details of the cases that had been filed against his people (Balijas, Telagas, Onteris and Kapus) that were coming in the way of implementing the 5% reservations for them in the 10% reservation fixed by the Centre for the Economically Backward Classes (EBCs).
Mr. Padmanabham told Mr. Jagan that he was being derided in the social media as a Kapu traitor, dacoit, person who was “sold out” in a way that was very similar to what his sister Sharmila had been derided in the social media. Ms Sharmila then went and lodged a complaint with the police.
