‘Will take a call on Amaravati only after unearthing scams’

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday said the government will probe the ‘scandals’ related to construction of Amaravati city. He was responding to TDP MLCs G. Sandhya Rani and G. Srinivasulu Naidu who said there was no mention of ‘Amaravati’ in the Governor’s address and sought to know the government’s stand on the issue. The members were participating in a discussion on the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address, in the Legislative Council.
‘Make stand clear’
TDP member Sandhya Rani said the Jagan Mohan Reddy government had not made its stand clear on the issue yet. “The government should make its stand clear on construction of the capital city of Amaravati,” she demanded. Responding to it, the Minister said: “Let’s talk about the several scams associated with Amaravati. The government will first get to the bottom of these allegations and then talk about construction plans,” he said.
