Complete Maramon convention works before Feb. 7: Minister

Government departments should complete their arrangements for the smooth conduct of the upcoming convention at Maramon near Kozhencherry before February 7, Water Resources Minister K. Krishnankutty has said.
The Minister was addressing a meeting of various departmental heads and the organising committee leaders of the Maramon convention held at the collectorate conference hall here on Thursday. He directed the officials to ensure the safety of the temporary bridge linking the convention venue on the Pampa riverbed with the mainland.
The Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association representatives informed the meeting that as in the previous years, the 124th convention too would be organised strictly adhering to the green protocol. Plastic and flex boards would be completely avoided for the week-long annual meet, they said.
The annual convention will be held from February 10 to 17 and all government departments would make ready their services at Maramon from February, Mr. Krishnankutty said.
