Amidst Bharat Bandh, local trains on all three lines- Western, Central and Harbour in Mumbai are running according to their normal timings and routes as no disruption has been reported for far. Further, no changes in timings and routes of B.E.S.T. buses has been witnessed. It must be noted that few private schools in Mumbai have declared holiday as a precautionary measure, although, colleges will remain open.
Meanwhile, auto Rickshaws and taxis are operating in limited numbers and private taxi service providers such as Ola/Uber have hiked their fares.
Also, people would not face any difficulty in buying their daily needs as general shops will remain open. Further, the wholesale vegetable market is also open as per their daily timings. However, few retail shops are reportedly shut. Emergency services such as hospitals and medicine won’t be affected either.
