Nagaland Governor meets Mizoram counterpart at NEZCC meeting in Aizawl

The Governor of Nagaland and NEZCC Chairman, PB Acharya and the Governor of Mizoram Lt. Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma as well as all members from all the eight NE states attended the meeting.
According to a release issued by the PRO of Raj Bhavan, Acharya in his speech stated that NEZCC not only aims to showcase, promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the North East region, but also to promote and strengthen emotional and National integration through cultural exchange and programmes.
NEZCC has been in the vanguard of preserving, nurturing and disseminating the variety of cultures and art forms of the eight North Eastern States since its inception, he said.
In this regard, he called for involvement of all Member States in the activities of NEZCC, saying, “We must continue to safeguard and promote our rich culture, tradition and language because they are our identity and describe who we are.”
