Indian govt prematurely opened the country after first wave, leading to 'serious crisis'- Top Health Expert of US
America's top infectious disease specialist Dr. Anthony Fauci told US lawmakers that India made the 'misconception' that the outbreak of the Covid-19 global pandemic had ended there.
He said that this misconception of the Indian govt opened up the country prematurely, causing it to face such a 'serious crisis'.
Fauci added, "And what happened, they opened everything before time and now such an extreme is being seen there that we are all aware of how destructive it is."
Letting you know, Dr. Fauci is the director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and is also the Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden.
India is badly affected by an unprecedented second wave of coronaviruses and hospitals in many states are suffering from a shortage of health workers, vaccines, oxygen, medicines, and beds.
