Himanta to be sworn as the next CM of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal resigns

Six days after the historic victory in Assam, the BJP has resolved the issue of whom to appoint the CM in the state.
The current CM Sarbananda Sonowal submitted his resignation to Governor Jagdish Mukhi amid speculation about the face of Assam's next CM post.
After this, Himanta Biswa Sarma has been elected as the leader of the legislative party.
With this, it was decided that he would become the next Chief Minister of the state.
Letting you know, a meeting of MLAs took place today to seal the name of the CM of Assam, in which Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Sarbananda Sonowal also arrived.
