Oxygen crisis: Delhi HC's contempt notice put on hold by Supreme Court

  • The Supreme Court has stayed the show cause notice for contempt proceedings to the officers of the Center of the Delhi High Court.
  • The top court has refused to change the order to give 700 MT oxygen per day. It said that the High Court is hearing the case daily, but no solution will come out of contempt proceedings against officers.
  • The court added that the country is going through a difficult phase at this time. In such a situation, everyone should work together. People have to save their lives.
  • At the same time, the court said, "When the country is facing a serious epidemic of unprecedented human dimensions, we need to adopt a problem-solving approach."
  • It added, "When the Supreme Court considers an issue, it has to look at things from the point of view of the whole country."
