Gujarat: Hundreds of women violate Covid norms, gathered for prayers at temple despite restrictions

  • The entire country is currently reeling under the second wave of corona infection and people are being advised to stay indoors.
  • Several states have implemented measures such as lockdown and curfew to prevent people from getting out. But even after this, people do not miss tearing apart the Corona Guidelines.
  • The recent case is from Gujarat where a large number of women gathered for prayers at the Balia Dev temple in Nayapura village of Sanand district of Ahmedabad district on Tuesday.
  • KT Kamaria, DySP, Ahmedabad Rural said that action was taken against 23 people including the Sarpanch of the village.
  • The condition is that most of the hospitals are facing a shortage of beds, medicines, and oxygen due to the huge surge in corona cases.
