Assam: EVM recovered from BJP candidate's car, Priyanka Gandhi demands strict action

A fresh controversy arose in Assam after the EVMs were found in a private car after voting for the second phase of the assembly elections on Thursday.
After the video of the incident went viral, the politics of EVMs once again got hot, the car is of a BJP candidate, Krishnendu Paul.
Assam Pradesh Congress President Ripun Bora has demanded the Election Commission to take immediate action in this matter.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that whenever a video of a car carrying EVMs comes out, the car either belongs to BJP leaders or their supporters.
She further added that the Election Commission should now take strict action on it.
